Notes

John Kannenberg creates quietly reflective works in both image and sound that blur the boundaries between intention and accident. Using digital additive and subtractive techniques derived from free improvisation, musical composition, field drawing, minimalism, cubism and abstract expressionism in their construction, his works deal with a variety of themes including time, nature, mindful contemplation, abstracted narratives, the sonics of space and place, and the processes of both making and observing art.

Ian Simpson is the founder of the Electronic Musik label. He works as a performing musician, a sound artist and a cardiology nurse in the UK. His work is varied, although always abstract, ranging from quiet thoughtful ambience to harsh destructive sound collages. He performs with the avant electronica duo Fonik and solo as both Bacillus and Noise Research.
